No-shows cost you about
$7,800 /month
That’s 52 missed appointments a month, or $93,600 a year.
Save just 1 appointment a month and NoShow AI pays for itself.
Plans start at $49/month. Reminders go out automatically, and clients confirm with one letter.
How the calculation works
No-shows per week = appointments per week × no-show rate. Monthly cost = no-shows per week × average appointment value × 4.33 (weeks in a month). The calculator only uses the numbers you enter. It doesn't assume how many no-shows reminders will prevent.
What to do with the number
If the monthly cost is more than a reminder plan, reminders pay for themselves after a single saved visit or two. Start with the steps in how to reduce no-shows, and use our reminder text templates.
Common questions
How do you calculate the cost of no-shows?
Multiply appointments per week by your no-show rate to get no-shows per week, then by the average value of an appointment. Multiply by about 4.3 for a monthly figure. For example, 60 appointments a week at a 10% no-show rate and $100 each is 6 missed visits, or $600 a week.
What is a typical no-show rate?
It varies widely by industry, location, and how far ahead appointments are booked. The most useful number is your own: count no-shows for a month and divide by booked appointments.
How many saved appointments pay for reminders?
Divide the monthly plan price by your average appointment value. At $49/month, one saved $100 appointment more than covers it.
